Chiara Barbo e Andrea Magnani
The story, or better said, the stories of those girls who, in the early Fifties, left Trieste, Italy, for the United States. All of them were very young, they decided to leave in order to pursue their dreams or their love. “Triestine girls” shows us what Trieste was like at the time and what kind of America these girls found. It feels like a private diary that tells our recent history through the voices and images of some of its female protagonists, rediscovered thanks to a photograph, a name or another small detail.
