Clely Quaiat left Trieste, Italy in the 1950s. She was just a little girl when she got aboard a ship headed to Australia with her family. She was a lively, restless and curious girl. Once she grew up, she decided to pursue her life-long daydreams. She discovered a very remote place, where entering was forbidden: the Northern Territories, Aboriginal land... She decided to live there with her two children. She even met a man – the indigenous chief’s son, Terry Yumbulul. Clely started her new life there – but at the same time, Trieste is always in her heart.
